Welcome to 2017 Wondai Show!

Preparations are underway for the 2017 Wondai Show. The first Wondai Show was held in 1911 but owing to drought, depression and war, shows were not held in some years, with the 100th show scheduled for 1st and 2nd September  2017. The Members have BIG plans to mark the occasion and make this a very special event.

2017 Wondai Show – continuing the Vice-Regal tradition

At least four Queensland Governors and two Queensland Premiers have opened the Wondai Show since it was first held in 1911. So it is fitting that the 100th Wondai Show will be officially opened on Saturday 2nd September by the Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC. The Society’s members are thrilled that the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey will be in attendance at this year’s show. This is a very special event both for the Show Society and the wider Wondai community and having someone of the Governor’s stature as our special guest is ‘the icing on the cake’.
